Jeff uses evidenced based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral (dbt) such as mindfulness and solution focused therapy to assist his clients in recovery, self- awareness in each client's individual process. Each person Jeff meets with has their own story. As such each person decides what their goals are in treatment and takes ownership of their individualized treatment which produces better results.
Jeff received a master's degree in social work with a dual focus on mental health and addiction studies from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. During his schooling, Jeff worked as a clinical intern with Help, Inc. (a forensic intake office for individuals reporting abuse) and with Bonneville County Jail working with adult inmates seeking treatment and recovery. Prior to this, he obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Utah with a criminology certificate. While working on his bachelor's degree, he was privileged to work in professor Frank Drew's PhD ABC lab conducting research on behaviors and human decision making.
One of my greatest blessings in this life is the be surrounded by my family. My wonderful wife and I are the proud parents of 4 boys and we love them deeply. Our favorite thing is to spend time together. We moved to the Burley area in 2017 and have been so grateful for the good people we have met here.
